Surgery Survival

Evan had tubes put in his ears this morning. The procedure went well and Evan is getting along great. We had to be at the surgery center this morning at 6:30am. His surgery was scheduled for 7:30am and we were headed home by 8:30am. Luckily this was such a quick procedure; he was only given anesthesia that he breathed. No IV which was great.

Our plan this morning was to get up early and get ready, then get Evan up just before time to go and head out the door. Well, Evan didn’t cooperate with that plan. I got up around 4:30 to get ready and low and behold he was up too. It was hard to keep his mind off eating until we left at 6am. That also meant that Kevin and I had to join him in the fact we didn’t get any breakfast either since we couldn’t eat in front of him. Of course, he fell back to sleep on the way to the surgery center. We can only hope this doesn’t mean a really new early rising time. 6am every morning is early enough as it is.

Thanks for your prayers that the surgery would go well and he would have a quick recovery.
